The film study this week is “How English Sounds to Non-English Speakers.” This film is very interesting in the fact that it’s not exactly a normal experimental film (if that is even a thing). It gained popularity on the internet due to it’s strange concept of having people mimic english speech without actually speaking it. The narrative within the piece is still understandable even if we don’t get the details and the emotion is felt without any translation. Of course, and this is something I’ve noticed in foreign films too: The curse words are left unchanged showing that cursing is understood in most languages.
